
In its historic 1973 Roe V. Wade ruling, the Supreme Court affirmed the constitutional right to abortion. And in 30 years since, the Supreme Court and federal appeals courts have chipped away at that right. Likely vacancies in these courts make the right to choose very vulnerable.
Before senators decide whether or not to approve a federal court nominee, they will listen to the views of the people in their states. BenchMark.com is a grassroots and national effort to reach out to policy makers to ensure that only those nominees who support constitutional rights to reproductive freedom and civil rights be confirmed to these positions.
