The Barbara Lee Family Foundation supported the exhibition of Argentine artist Amalia Pica’s conceptual work. Amalia Pica used sculpture, photography, film, and installation to investigate communication. By using megaphones, antennae, podiums, and signal flags, Pica’s work playfully pointed to moments of attempted and often failed communication. This exhibit included one of Pica’s most well-known and discussed works, Venn Diagrams (Under the Spotlight) (2011). The exhibit was on view in Cambridge from February through April 2013 and traveled to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago later in the year.
