Media Matter’s Progressive Talent Initiative (PTI) seeks to provide the support necessary to disseminate the messaging and information that the public requires in order to achieve a true values shift and make progressive policy development and implementation possible. In particular, PTI focuses on identifying and training promising women in order to increase the presence of female progressive voices throughout the mainstream media. The Barbara Lee Family Foundation supported the PTI training hosted by Media Matters for America July 20-21 in Las Vegas, NV before Netroots Nation 2009.
