The MassVOTE Education Fund

massvote

The MassVOTE Education Fund (MassVOTE) is a nonpartisan organization committed to registering, educating, and mobilizing voters, with a focus on historically underrepresented communities in Massachusetts, especially people of color and younger voters. MassVOTE’s objective is to ensure that the electorate mirrors the diversity of the people in our state, where 20 percent of the electorate are people of color, and 51 percent are women. A significant part of MassVOTE’s work to engage voters comes in the form of grants for urban voter mobilization. The Barbara Lee Family Foundation proudly supported The Civic Engagement Initiative (CEI) in 2012, a MassVOTE project that distributes grants for nonpartisan urban voter education, registration, and mobilization in cities throughout Massachusetts.
