Program Director

Allison Goldberg advances the Barbara Lee Family Foundation’s mission to increase women’s political representation through overseeing non-partisan grantmaking activities, event planning, and research projects.

Prior to joining the Barbara Lee Family Foundation, Allison worked for Massachusetts State Representative Alice Peisch for nearly a decade. In her role as Staff Director with Representative Peisch, Allison focused on legislative and budgetary advocacy, working with elected officials and advocates to enact major pieces of legislation on a wide range of policy topics affecting the Commonwealth. Notably, Allison played a major role in passing laws that provide confidentiality for victims of domestic violence, “Good Samaritan” protections for individuals reporting drug overdoses, and career plans for public school students. Allison also previously worked as a Legislative Aide for Representative Peisch, providing constituent services to district residents and working with municipal officials on state and local matters.

Allison holds a Master of Science degree in Law and Public Policy from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Political Science and History from Colgate University.
