Ann Richards’ Texas (2012)

The Barbara Lee Family Foundation was an Associate Producer of the electrifying documentary, Ann Richards’ Texas.” This film examined the life and lessons of the late great Governor Ann Richards. A feisty straight-talking West Texas woman, Ann was an amazing and inspirational public servant who fought for people, not politics. Ann Richards’ legacy and approach to politics is a model for the type of public servant we need today. Highlights of the film include many well-known public appearances, including the 1988 Democratic National Convention where she delivered the keynote address as well as many other not-so-well-known appearances that demonstrate Ann’s shining personality. Other features include interviews with President Bill Clinton, Dolly Parton, Tom Brokaw, Leader Nancy Pelosi, and Governor Michael Dukakis.
