The 19th is a nonprofit, nonpartisan newsroom reporting at the intersection of gender, politics and policy. Their goal is to empower women — particularly those historically underserved by American media — with the information, community and resources they need to be equal participants in our society. “The 19th Represents” is a week of virtual programming dedicated to participation, equity and advancement for America’s women. The vision for this event is a series of intersectional, intergenerational virtual gatherings featuring prominent women in politics, civic engagement, journalism, and the arts in conversation with 19th journalists and other national influencers. The convening will honor the centennial of the 19th Amendment and women’s suffrage while acknowledging how far this nation still has to go to achieve parity for women.
